The history of our business

The
factory was founded in near 1873 by
Christian Kremp, a cabinet maker. In this time he
started the serial production of musical instruments
and replacement parts for pianos.

Because
Christian Kremp, now a highly skilled craftsman, earned a
document in 1881. Also he was presented a bronze medal in recognition
of his
"Appreciation for the Musical Instrument Trade".
This happend during the Frankfurt "Patent and Trademark Exhibition".
It was through his skills as a craftsman, and the problems of his friend
Moritz Hensoldt (founder of the "Hensoldt & Son" optical factory) that
Christian Kremp became a mechanic.
Hensoldt told about the problems he was having with the racks
and pinions of his microscopes. So Kremp created his own design
of helical racks and pinions and his own machines to produce the
needed gears, also as the tools. Two of these machines survived
the changing of times, until today.
It was
from here that Christian Kremp launched
into serial manufacturing of all types of gears.
